Creative Content + Bread Has A Short Shelf-Life

My family and I have some Spring rituals that assist us in officially welcoming the new change in season. They include working in our garden and making bread.

One of the areas of cooking I enjoy the most is baking bread. It is sometimes my spoon, my napkin, and even on occasion after my two glasses of Oregon Pinot Noir, it can be my eatable pointer at the dinner table.

Just talking about kneading the dough and smelling the bread makes me hungry right now. Oh man, just look at this bread in the picture below.

So as a baker that happens to lead a strategic marketing implementation firm, I constantly think about how cooking and consulting can be so similar.

In fact, just today, I had the Eureka moment that both bread and creative content have a limited shelf-life.

What do you think about this revelation?

We should be reminded as a small business owner that regardless of our service or product, we are in the full-time creative content distribution business.

So just like your once fresh bread, don’t let your content get stale!
