What I’m Thinking On Thanksgiving

Tags

I awakened early and my eyes burn from the hickory smoke as I decided to smoke the turkey this year for family and friends. I’ll guess at the exact time it’s done since my $11.97 internal thermometer I purchased at Safeway this morning at 6:12 AM doesn’t seem to work.

I’ll share a peek at my turkey.

Here is my iPhone view at 8:23 AM of my backyard smoker on a rainy Oregon thanksgiving day. In case you’re wondering, if you elect to baste your turkey in a maple butter sauce, you are beholden to your turkey to prevent burning like a parent is to her 1 year old boy at a community pool.

About five minutes ago, I went to my computer to send a tweet and check email. I then looked in my photo folder and by chance found this photo below. I have no idea where I found this photo or I would have credited the source.

Mostly what I’m thinking about today is that I hope God is not bored of me.

…not bored of me as a husband, father & son.

…not bored of me as a marketing agency owner.

…not bored of me as a friend.
