How can you know the truth of your circumstance?
We all experience circumstances. What’s difficult is trying to determine the truth of a situation by looking at the circumstances.
Storms and being lost are common metaphors to describe life circumstances. Like the Sunday School favorite where Jesus’s disciples are in a boat in the middle of a storm.
As the story goes, Jesus was asleep in the back of a fishing boat during a storm. You gotta admit, Jesus can look cool when all hell is breaking loose around him. As we can imagine, His disciples panicked and if we were to ask them at that exact moment what is the truth of their circumstance, they probably would have said, “we’re going to be fish food.”
What was the truth of this circumstance?
Truth was sound asleep in the back of the boat. At just the right moment in between perish and rescue, Truth revealed itself or rather himself.
Lesson Learned: Never determine the truth of a situation by looking at the circumstances.
